About SCBC We are a nonprofit charitable organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors. Revenue covers blood processing expenses and new equipment. We are licensed by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the Florida Association of Blood Banks.We are proud to be a member of the National Marrow Donor Program, which helps find bone marrow matches for transplant patients. We are committed to meeting the local need for blood and wisely using your donation. Any surplus is supplied to other blood banks in need.
