Southeastern Community Blood Center is one of about a hundred community blood centers in the nation that collect blood from local volunteer donors. As a full-service blood center, SCBC performs all aspects of blood processing from recruiting donors, drawing blood from donors, testing it for infectious diseases, processing it into therapeutic components, and testing its compatibility for specific patients.
is a private, not-for-profit organization, relying on private fundraising and fees from services we provide to sustain daily operations - we receive no government support. We are licensed by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the State of Florida, the State of Georgia and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), Florida Association of Blood Banks, and the American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI). We are also active members of
America's Blood Centers (ABC).
